Fardan Fahad Alfardan
3rd Generation Alfardan Group, Qatar. Founder and General Manager of “ Safwa”
Fardan was born into a family that is known for its legacy—having been exposed at a very young age to the rudiments of business stemming from the family’s various business interests, particularly Alfardan Exchange, one of Qatar’s leading money exchange and money transfer providers, which is managed by his father, Fahad Hussain Alfardan.
Fardan, born in 1989, obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business, Major in Marketing from International University in Geneva, Switzerland. He interned for a year at Ernst & Young, the world's third largest multinational professional services firm.
Aside from his father, Fardan has also drawn inspiration and vision from his grandfather, Hussain Alfardan, Alfardan Group’s founder and Chairman, stirring in his passion to drive the family business to newer heights and exploring new opportunities that can bring in more growth. He is the founder and General Manager of Safwa, a made-in-Qatar business established in 2019 that sells premium agricultural produce. As a young boy, Fardan would help his grandfather to grow vegetables within the family farm. Safwa products are the best picks of the land, keeping the health of the family in mind and bringing fresh produce to the community from the family farm while using sustainable methods in farming.
Previously, Fardan was General Manager of the luxury services section of Alfardan Group’s Hospitality subsidiary, handling the first ever Middle East branch of Guerlain Spa and the Doha arm of Jeeves of Belgravia.
He is also a staunch advocate of the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, like the Expat Labor Fund that was recently held by the QRC and other programs implemented by the family business.
A member of the third generation of Alfardan family, he aspires and continues to be actively involved in the development and future expansion of Alfardan Group - putting special focus on new projects and divisions and taking the lead by bringing in fresh new ideas and concepts that are parallel to the rapidly changing business landscape of the region.
On the personal side of business, Fardan founded Gymmito, a fitness club that helps people achieve their health and well-being goals amidst their fast-paced lifestyle and busy schedules.
